Shanachie
The acclaimed band, Down to the Bone, returns with its Shanachie debut, helmed as usual by the group’s musical mastermind, Stuart Wade. It’s a very UK-sounding thing, this collection of 10 hip-shaking tracks, but it doesn’t have much personality. Guest R&B singer Hil St. Soul adds to the overall generic quality of the project, and even jazz-funk godfather Roy Ayers disappears into the mix. Definitely an acquired taste.
