Cam’Ron- Crime Pays

 Cam’Ron- Crime Pays

Diplomatic Man-Asylum

Love him or hate him, Killa Cam always keeps it interesting. On his latest release, Crime Pays, the Harlem MC tries to reconnect with the
streets after the less-than-stellar Killa Season. In line with that effort, the standout track “Get It In Ohio” is one of the best street songs he’s recorded in years, and the topical “My Job” sounds
inspired. Cuts like “Cookies N Apple Juice” provide the obligatory nod to radio tastes. Overall, the album isn’t as cohesive as some of
2009’s best so far, but Cam has put together a solid effort. –dusty culpepper
