Fling is a semi-romantic comedy about relationships that, surprisingly enough, doesn’t fall into the potholes most romantic flicks fall into. What you get with Fling is a very frank look at the joy, pain and confusion of open relationships. Yes, there are some sex scenes (hey, the movie is called “Fling”) but they all are done tastefully with a sense of intimacy. For an independent film, the acting is quite good, although Fling gives the effect of being shot with a handheld. Still, fans of relationship-driven movies should give Fling a chance to find a home in their DVD players. –dark abyss
