Baller: Eric Maynor – VCU

Eric Maynor made a name for himself in 2007 when he hit the game-winning shot to eliminate Duke University from the NCAA Tournament. He remained consistent throughout his four-year career and has the tools to be a great point guard in the NBA.

He has the rare ability to be a scoring threat in a league starving for a new batch of superior point guards. If Maynor lands with the right organization, he could be an NBA All-Star in four years.

Bench Rider: Terrence Williams – Louisville

It’s hard to call Williams a bust because he has the ability to provide stable defense and emotional leadership à laShane Battier, but he could struggle if he is not drafted by a perennial playoff team that allows him to flourish in a structured system. Williams only averaged 12 points per game, which is very dismal for a shooting guard hoping to make an impact in a league that often leans heavily on players who can score at that position.
