Mullage Breaks Down Trick’n, Strip Clubs and Military Life

B-Boi
and B-Town, the two former military guys that comprise Mullage,
probably aren’t much like how you thought they were. The singer-rappers
who released the radio favorite “Trick’n,” have a rich backstory that
took them from the inner city of Atlanta to Iraq. Through their
travels, they soaked up a wealth of experience, which made its way into
their music.

“We make good music, and it’s going to stick,” says B-Boi, adding that
although people have tried to lump them into the swag music category,
they really don’t fit there.

Despite being from the same neighborhood, B-Boi and B-Town didn’t meet
until they were overseas, where they quickly developed a friendship and
began recording together.

After being released from the military, the two returned to Atlanta and
went to work. It wasn’t long before they had developed key
relationships with DJs that eventually led to their current label home,
From the Ground Up/Jive.   With their lead single featuring T-Pain,
“Trick’n,” which is burning up radio, they’ve ruffled a few feathers,
but are more than happy to define the concept.

“My definition of trick’n is basically puttin’ on for your city,” says
B-Town. “People took this song and took it to another level. At the end
of the day it’s just a strip club song — it ain’t trick’n if you got it
in the strip club.”

B-Boi laughs, adding, “I look at it as catering to the right woman, I
have no problem with doing that if I really care about you like that.”

That said, the guys, who make no qualms about the quality time they
spend in the strip club, offer a few dos and don’ts to help you develop
proper strip club etiquette.

Strip Club Don’ts:
1. “Don’t spend your rent money.”
2. “Don’t stalk her. Don’t ask her a bunch of questions like you’re trying to get to know her.”
3. “No excessive touching.”
4. “Don’t go right after you get off work, in your work clothes. Change clothes first.”
5.
“The number one thing you should never ever do is pick money up off the
floor, especially in the ‘hood strip club, because they [jump] to
conclusions too much. We’ve seen dancers jump off the stage, like
‘excuse me!’ ”

Strip Club Dos:
1. “Tip the bartender.”
2. “Spend the money if you got it. Don’t be stingy, trick a little bit.”
