TNT continues its string of strong original programming based on a complex female lead. This time around, Jada Pinkett Smith grabs the helm of a series by starring in and executive producing the medical drama “HawthoRNe.” The main character, compassionate and headstrong chief nursing officer Christina Hawthorne, possesses many of Pinkett Smith’s personality traits. While the premise — an overworked nurse working at a hospital — is a bit unoriginal, Pinkett Smith strong performance makes the show more thImagean bearable.
