Is Psycho Sisters a place where you can dress fashionably for a lot less money?
Yes, definitely. We love when people bring brand name clothes and such, but we’re kind of a costume store too. We dress a lot of people for ’70s parties and ’80s parties … right now we’re catering to Christmas. We’re real versatile. You can come here for anything, we’ve got it.
Store: The Clothing Warehouse
Location: Little Five Points, Atlanta
Specialty: Vintage clothing from 1940s to 198’s.
Biggest sellers: Members Only jackets, dresses, boots, western shirts and accessories
Store manager: Hailey Griffin
Why are vintage clothing stores better options than retail?
I think vintage clothing stores are going to have more one-of-a-kind pieces, so if you’re shopping for Christmas gifts, you’re going to be able to find items that no one else has. It makes the gift a little bit more special.
Store: Stefan’s Inc.
Location: Little Five Points Atlanta
Owner: Rebecca Birdwhistell
Selection: Men’s and women’s clothing and accessories from 1900s to the 1980s
What is the difference between vintage clothing and retail clothing?
There’s a huge difference in the quality and in the construction and the fabrication of vintage — it’s so much better. We’ve all had something newly bought that’s got a nylon hem and you pull one thread and the whole hem comes out. With vintage that never happens.
