Actor Daniel Devlin talks to rolling out about his multimedia company, his new projects and what it means to be an actor socialite. –iesha daniels

What do you have going on right now?

Right now, my main focus has been building the brand of my company and its clients. My company is Cohen Commissions. It’s partnered with Social Syndicate which is another branch that works with models and actors and actresses. So I’ve really been putting a lot of energy recently into getting my clients situated and getting the company situated.

You’ve mentioned the term ‘actor socialite’ several times. What is an actor socialite?

My official stage title became the actor socialite. My take on that is that it’s someone that’s popular in social settings. Someone who is well known, who uses his or her notoriety to evoke change around them.

If you could give advice to someone breaking into the business and maybe dealing with family issues or financial issues, what would you tell them to do?

Nurture relationships. And if you’re not the type of person who can communicate effectively or even directly, find someone to represent you that can. Be genuine to others, be appreciative and let them know that you’re appreciative.
