Joe Jackson is still trying to cash in his daddy chips for a piece of his late son’s estate. He was intentionally left out of the inheritance that left wife Katherine in pretty good shape, and it isn’t sitting well with him.
Joe has, since the reading of the will, challenged the credibility of the estate’s executors, requested an allowance for his exorbitant monthly expenses, and now he’s trying to file a wrongful death suit, without the legal legs required to stand on. It takes more than just DNA to file such suit on behalf of the deceased.
According to TMZ, lawyers for Michael Jackson’s estate have filed legal papers opposing Joe Jackson’s attempt to get his son’s UCLA medical records in order to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
Estate lawyers say there are three reasons Joe is not entitled to medical records:
1. Joe wasn’t a dependent of his son’s and isn’t legally entitled to sue.
2. He filed a request for medical records in conjunction with the request for allowance, but one has nothing to do with the other.
3. The patient-physician privilege would be broken if his request for the records were granted.
