Renee Flemings turned her passion for writing through her daily postings in her journal. “I have always keep my thoughts in a journal, and that lead to me writing monologues.” The playwright is originally from Louisville, KY but has called New York City home for the last 20 years.
Renee has managed to keep a full resume, and has been apart of numerous productions such as “Kiwi Dreams & Other Erotic Fantasies,” “Second Hand Smoke” and “The Bible Belt” to name a few.
Apart from acting Renee has also placed focus on her singing career. Her bluesy vocals can be heard in the six piece band she performs with called “Renee and the Derelicts.”
In the midst of pursuing both an acting an acting and singing career Renee is also enrolled in New York University. “I have not defined my course of study because I want to find something that will allow me to utilize all of my experience, and something that will keep me interested. I know that education is an important part of development, and I want to do whatever I can to enhance my level of success.” ~Christian Johnson
