Al Sharpton and Tavis Smiley, both champions of black causes, had a respectful, but heated exchange yesterday regarding the absence of a “black agenda” from President Obama’s plans and Sharpton’s public statements regarding it.
Sharpton calls Smiley while live on his “Keeping it Real” broadcast and accused him of “attacking him” during Tavis’ on-air commentary show, “Tavis Talks.” Smiley denied the accusations, but Sharpton wouldn’t back down.
