R&B’s reigning songbird Chrisette Michele took over Atlanta’s Tabernacle and Ashley Watson was there to experience it. Watson was the winner of the Chrisette Michele Epiphany Tour Contest presented by rollingout and Live-N-Direct TV.
Chrisette took the audience on a musical journey, as she performed a series of her hit singles including chart toppers “What You Do” “Be Ok” and“If I Have My Way,” leaving them with a taste of something old and new.
“I was shocked when I found out I was the winner, I love her voice and ’Blame It On Me’ which she performed is one of my favorite songs” states Watson.
Chrisette used charm and whit to keep the crowd well entertained. Little did they know they were in for a real treat as she used her warm vocals to bring back the sprits of famed opera singer Kathleen Battle and legendary Billie holiday during her opera and Jazz sets, making her mark undeniable.
Once the curtains dropped, our contest winner was hit with another surprise; and was informed that she would be meeting Chrisette. “I was a little nervous going backstage to meet her because I didn’t know what to expect, but she was very nice and down to earth.”
Fans should definitely keep this songbird on their radar because she is spreading her wings and flying high. ~Christian Johnson
