Disgraced former football and television star O.J. Simpson is reportedly ready to get married behind bars to a woman he’s never met.
No, wait: it gets better. The woman ready to marry Simpson is a spitting image of his murdered ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, reports The Globe.
Simpson, 62, is serving 33 years in a Nevada prison for armed robbery at a Vegas hotel. He has reportedly fallen in love with a longtime pen pal, “a young blonde” named Anna. If they go through with the wedding, this would be Simpson’s third wife.
“They’ve been writing to each other for a while now. She sent him her photo, and he just flipped for her,” The Globe stated about Simpson, adding that the picture bears a strong resemblance to Brown Simpson, who was murdered along with Ronald Goldman in 1994. Simpson was acquitted of Brown’s murder in the “Trial of the Century” in 1995, but was convicted in a subsequent civil suit.
Orenthal James Simpson, aka “The Juice,” is still considered one of the greatest football players — and certainly running backs — in NFL history. He became the first player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season when he did it with the Buffalo Bills in 1973. And he is the only person to accomplish such a feat during a 14-game season. The NFL changed to a 16-game season in 1978.
