A wise man once told me to “never trust a big butt and a smile.”
OK, so it wasn’t a wise man, but you still have to respect the words of Bell Biv Devoe, right?
Well, not so fast.
Celebs like Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Trina, Serena Williams, etc. have butts that have kept them afloat, no pun intended, in the industry…and now it’s a fad for white girls? According to various fashion reports, big butts are the latest “summer trend.” (do you hear those crickets?)
There was a time when it wasn’t cool for white girls, to have a “donk.” Paris Hilton, with one of the most anemic butts in entertainment, even expressed digust over Kim Kardashian’s “trash bag full of cheese” rear end when they were feuding. Their tune is now changing.
Nowadays, as more notable stars have embraced their voluptuous backsides, the general public is growing more accepting of a woman with that particular “curve.” Many of the white girls today would love to have Beyoncé’s butt. They’d die to have Serena’s butt. And it’d be seventh heaven to fill their loose drawers with Nicki Minaj’s behind. Things done changed!

Serena Williams There are some who enjoy watching Serena Williams because she’s one of the best tennis players in the world. I, for one, enjoy watching her because of the outfits she wears. Not one tournament can go by without paparazzi shots being released of Serena’s rump in tights. From a man’s perspective, Wimbledon and the French Open now have added meaning. |

Kim Kardashian OK, so we’re still not exactly sure if Kim Kardashian possesses any discernible talents. That’s still up for debate. What we can be sure of is that the 29-year-old reality star has a really big butt and is actually very proud of it. “Yep, I’m the girl with the big butt,” she said in a recent interview. “The girls at school would walk by and grab it and be like, ‘Your butt’s so big!’ It was a joke, but I’d hide it with my uniform. I guess I’ve learnt to appreciate it now.” |

Nicki Minaj Nicki Minaj has exploded onto the music scene, and in the process made countless young girls wish they were bisexual Barbies. (That’s actually one trend we’re not so thrilled about.) But I can say that the rising star has embraced her curves and shown young women that they can navigate the waters of hip-hop and be successful without being defined by a backside. |
