“This entire experience has been a lot of fun,” shares Naughton. “From the time we were on set, we felt like we were making a really good movie. I still believe that, and the people who have seen the film seem to think so as well.”
Brandon T. Jackson, who co-stars as Bow Wow’s best friend Bennie agrees. “It really felt like family on the set,” he says. “I think that comes across when you watch the film. There was a lot of good chemistry, good acting, and good directing. And I’m not just saying that because I am in the movie … I really believe it’s good.”
The film, though steeped in comedy, takes a hard look at how money can dictate the behavior of people around you. Both Naughton and Jackson see it all too often. “It’s crazy how people act when they think you have money,” Naughton confesses. “It can be overwhelming … especially in the entertainment industry.”
“Groupies are alive and well,” Jackson adds with a laugh. “That’s why it’s good to have people around you that you can trust, because money brings out the worst in people.”
