On Thursday, Oct. 28, Club Opera in Midtown Atlanta was the backdrop for Hot 107.9’s Ebony Steele of the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” to bring attention to an issue of national importance — breast cancer. Steele, a breast cancer survivor, brought out some of Atlanta’s sexiest men to put the spotlight on the cause she champions so fiercely. With a packed house of screaming women, great fashion, and celebrity supporters, the event was thrilling for everyone who attended. As a three-year survivor and Circle of Promise Ambassador for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Steele wants to get the message out to women and men to be diligent about self-examinations and regular screenings.
Event attendees included T.I., Yung Joc, and celebrity hair stylist, Derek J. With sponsors like D&K Suit City, celebrity designers, makeup artists, Susan G. Komen, and the fab models who donated, time, clothing, money, and door prizes, the evening was a total success. At the conclusion of the fashion show, all of those divinely chiseled male models walked the runway strutting their beautifully bare chests. –christa jackson
