She will have to answer to the charge on the same day (Nov. 1) that T.I. is scheduled to turn himself in to begin serving an 11-month prison sentence in Arkansas.
Although Tiny could be sentenced to one year in prison, she will likely only face probation or rehab.
One of the country’s most powerful black couples under the age of 40, T.I. and Tiny were in a great position to influence young people and stand up for great causes like advocating for a cure for Alzheimer’s. They also have six children who should not have to witness their parents’ drug addiction, nor have their family separated by incarceration.
T.I. and his wife are fortunate to have accumulated so much wealth and power at a young age. But they are squandering that power by allowing themselves to fall victim to drug abuse. They are needed by their community and, more importantly, their kids to remain drug free. Over the next year, T.I. and Tiny will have to make some important decisions about how they are going to live their lives. –a.r.
