Rapper Rich Boy Wants You to Buy His Prepaid Credit Card

Apparently, Russell Simmons isn’t the only black celebrity to dabble in the prepaid calling card arena. Even though he hasn’t released any notable music of late, rapper Rich Boy is ready to try his luck in the business world by releasing his own line of signature prepaid credit cards.

In his estimation, it’s a way of helping the country in this time of financial turmoil.

“I feel like it’ll help America if we learn at an early age how to manage this money,” he said. “I’m tryna reach every neighborhood; not just on a profit situation, but just giving people learning experience [on] what to do with this money, this new, digital, plastic money.”

Now I’m not saying that his efforts aren’t noble … I just have to question anyone who takes financial advice from someone who wants you to “throw some D’s on it.”

Let’s just say that we’ll monitor the success (or failure) of this venture for you. In the meantime, let’s look back at Rich Boy’s biggest sonic hit to date. –djr
