After yet another Chris Brown meltdown on Twitter, the embattled singer came to the logical conclusion that he needs to just “shut the hell up” in 2011.
Brown deduced after his homophobic tweets at singer Raz-B that going off on mindless, vulgar tirades is not providing the requisite sustenance conducive to the longevity of his career. Women love bad boys but not one that has a history of beating down females and being a rebel without a cause. Music fans love controversy to keep their interest but not infantile whining and bullying weaker opponents.
Actually, until he can lasso in his explosive temper, he might consider retiring Twitter again and using some other method to promote his music.
The singers, Brown and Raz, exchanged verbal volleys on Twitter, as you already know. Brown later offered his mea culpa to the media as a way to end the feud. But now Brown has taken it to the next level. He says will temper his words in the future since they have not proven to enhance his public perception nor increase record sales.
Brown writes on Twitter, “Since new years is coming up my resolution is to shut the hell up.” That just might be one of his smartest career moves in recent memory.
We will soon see how long that self imposed moratorium lasts. —terry shropshire
