Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka are treating jail as if it’s an amusement park. Instead of making resolutions to better themselves, both rappers are spending the New Year in prison.
Gucci Mane was forced to return to jail for violating his probation in 2010. Fulton Superior Court Judge John Goger ordered that he go back to jail and could give the rapper a 17-month sentence.
Gucci Mane’s labelmate and protege, Waka Flocka, turned himself in on Jan. 3 after being charged with drugs and weapons possession and being involved with a criminal street gang. Both artists earned a large amount of money from album sales and concerts in 2010. But, sadly, most of their income will likely go to their attorneys.
This spring, Gucci Mane hopes to release his fourth album, The State vs. Fadric Davis 2: The Verdict. –a.r.
