Snoop Dogg is stepping outside his signature urban style and making a splash as he prepares to release his latest album. Rolling out TV recently caught up with Snoop andin line with the leading fashion trends of 2011.
But Snoop isn’t the only celeb whose style has transformed over the years. Rihanna, Keri Hilson and Ludacris have also undergone styling transitions. Rihanna’s signature edgy rock ‘n’ roll style has landed her on both the best and worst dressed lists in the tabloids. Like a chameleon, Rihanna is notorious for switching up her look, especially her hair. She has transitioned from blonde to black to red in a matter of a few weeks, and created trendy styles that are constantly requested at salons across the country.
Keri Hilson, on the other hand, has always had a unique style of her own, beginning with her first hit single “Energy.” She started out rocking the bowl cut bob with her signature blonde highlights and edgy athletic style with an ’80s twist. But don’t mistake her for just being the girl next door, when Keri glams up, she always looks stunning.
Of course, we cannot forget about the guys. Ludacris had one of the most memorable transformations of all, starting with chopping off his trademark afro and braids to symbolize a new phase in his life. He is as comfortable wearing a Brooks Brothers suit as he is in a pair of high-end jeans and retro Jordans.
Kanye West even hired a 19-year-old student from Yale as his creative consultant. These styling inspirations and transformations appear to be serving as nothing but career boosting moves with these trendsetting celebs in the spotlight. –mckenzie harris
