Lupe Fiasco Reacts to Negative Reviews of Leaked ‘LASERS’

Lupe Fiasco Reacts to Negative Reviews of Leaked ‘LASERS’Lupe Fiasco’s third album, LASERS, was thought by many to be a much-needed revelation for true hip-hop heads. In a musical climate where there’s a noticeable lack of lyrical depth, Lupe’s March 8 album was set to be a breath of fresh air.

That sentiment has seemingly changed, due to an early leak of the album that has brought about a host of negative reviews. As the feedback pours in, Lupe hasn’t been taking it well.

“I never thought LASERS would inspire so much negativity,” the Chicago rapper wrote to to his nearly 400,000 Twitter followers. “Reading the comments and reactions is crushing.”

This isn’t the first time that Lupe has had to deal with album piracy. His 2006 album, Food & Liquor, received a similar fate … the only difference is, that album garnered mostly positive reviews.

We’ll be closely monitoring his first week album sales to see if the negativity hurts his numbers. –djr
