Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council Honors Top Businesses

The Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, a nationally recognized organization that champions the interests of minority-owned businesses through partnerships with major corporations, presented its annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair (CBOF), held recently at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Sponsors of the event included Allstate, Abbott Labs, Navistar, PepsiCo, OfficeMax, UPS and United Airlines. The CBOF presented the Circle of Excellence awards to Allstate, Johnson Controls, Navistar and PepsiCo.


Sheila C. Hill-Morgan, president and CEO of the CBOF, presented the Corporation of the Year award to Navistar. Daniel Ustian, chairman, president and CEO of Navistar, accepted the honor.

The Transformational Leader award was given to Kraft.


Comedian Rudy Rush provided the entertainment, and Art Norman emceed the glitzy event. –zondra hughes
