Keyshia Cole’s Mother, Frankie, Arrested for Drug Paraphernalia

Nearly three weeks after it was reported that Keyshia Cole’s biological mother, Frankie Lons, had been arrested after failing an on-the-spot drug test during a visit with her probation officer, Lons is once again in trouble with the law, having been arrested in Gwinnett County, Ga., for alleged drug paraphernalia.

According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s website, Lons, who lives in Sandy Springs, Ga., was arrested and booked April 28 at 8:46 p.m. on two charges, including a drug-related object offense.

Early rumors concerning the arrest say that the drug-related object in question was a crack pipe and that Lons, who allegedly had an existing warrant for her arrest in Sandy Springs, was caught while riding in a stolen car with an unknown driver.

The rumor falls in line with Atlanta radio station V103’s report on Lons arrest a few weeks ago, when they claimed that Lons failed her drug test after her probation officer discovered crack cocaine in her system.

The news of Lons’ latest drug problems comes as a sad turn of events following her recent stint on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” earlier this year, where Lons seemed to be on the path to a full recovery from her drug addiction.

Although Cole has seemingly lost faith in her mother, becoming estranged from her over the past few years, the singer tweeted a few weeks ago that she believes her mother can change for the better, but only if she wants to.

“You know I really pray she gets it together for herself. She has to want change for herself,” tweeted Cole.
