On July 30th, Russell Simmons held the Annual Art of Life Benefit in the Hamptons. The event was sponsored by Bombay Sapphire Gin. Television anchor Soledad O’Brien emceed the elegant affair with a number of celebrities in attendance, including, Edward Norton, Taraji P. Henson, Lisa Rinna, Mary J. Blige, Kimora Lee Simmons, Djimon Hounsoe, Gayle King, Star Jones, Rev. Run and Vanessa and Angela Simmons. Jennifer Hudson performed a rendition of the Dreamgirls classic “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” which brought the crowd to their feet. The event also featured a live auction and guests danced the night away to the beats of DJ Mos. It was an evening of great fun, all for a good cause.
