Rush Limbaugh has been on the list of bigoted offenders a few times, and he recently made yet another on-air attempt at using race to belittle President Obama.
On Aug. 18 Limbaugh decided a press release announcing the launch of Kraft’s new “Triple Double Oreo” had something to do with Barack Obama’s racial makeup.
The cookie combines a layer of vanilla cream, a layer of chocolate cream and three chocolate wafers.
“It isn’t going to be long before it’s going to be called the Or-Bam-eo or something like this,” Limbaugh said to his audience.
Kraft, of course, does not refer to its cookie in any racially descriptive terms.
Of the new Oreo, Jessica Robinson, Kraft’s associate director of consumer engagement said, “Our fans’ passion and enthusiasm has challenged us to raise our game.”
A sugary, fattening, chocolate and vanilla treat that packs a 100 calorie-per-cookie wallop is apparently big news in Rush’s world.
