2011 Men of Style Gala: Photos

Let The Fashions Begin Inc. held its 16th annual Men of Style gala at the JW Marriott on Friday, Oct. 28. The founder  and director of Let The Fashions Begin Inc., Judge Clarease Rankin Yates, along with gala chairpersons Constance Charles, Joyce Tyler-Williams and Tammara McDonald, stayed true to the evening’s theme “Treatment, Cure and Awareness” with all proceeds benefiting the Texas Children’s Hospital Sickle Cell Center and sickle cell patients. The 2011 Men of Style honorees walked the catwalk to a packed audience of family, friends and community leaders wearing customized casual and formal pieces by Jos A. Banks. Each honoree was recognized for their keen fashion sense and contribution to the community. This year’s Living Legends Awards were presented to Sylvester Turner, Texas State Representative; Ralph Cooper, sports director, KCOH Radio; and Scott Gertner, recording artist and entrepreneur.

This year’s 2011 Men of Style award recipients were Alex George, physician, pediatric hematology/oncology, Texas Children’s Hospital; Anthony Lee, president, Double Eight Properties and owner of Just Eats Restaurant; Bob Devlin, VP and general manager, Neiman Marcus-Galleria; Joseph Callier, attorney, Callier & Garza LLP;  J. Thomas Smith, attorney and host of Majic 102 “Sunday Morning Live”; Waverly Nolley, real estate developer and attorney, Law Offices of Waverly Nolley; Joshua Wischnewsky, new car assistant director, Bayway Lincoln Mercury; Kyle Scott Jackson, CEO and founder, Jazz Walk of Fame Inc.; Mark Madrid, senior director, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Mike McSpadden, Judge, Harris County Criminal Court; Munson Steed, CEO, Steed Media Group; Ricardo McDonald, former NFL Player and Houston Texans Ambassador; Zachary Fertitta, attorney, Harris County District Attorney’s Office; and Viet Hoang; CEO and publisher, Yellow Magazine
