NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak Refuse to Appear on ‘Atlanta Housewives’ Together

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak Refuse to Appear on 'Atlanta Housewives' Together“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” rolled in with a bang on the season four premiere on Nov. 6 as series veterans NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield went toe-to-toe in one of the most memorable catfights in recent “Housewives” history.  And while fans are impatiently waiting for the next big brawl between the cast, one fight that won’t occur is a long-awaited fight between longtime frenemies Kim Zolciak and Leakes. According to reports, Leakes and Zolciak apparently refused to film with each other throughout the taping of season four.

Fans of the show will remember that, last season, Leakes and Zolciak as well as her assistant-alleged “slave” Sweetie were involved in a heated and racially charged fight at the season’s end. Since then, the two vowed they would never be friends again and according to Huffpost Celebrity, both women are sticking true to their vow.

“NeNe and Kim refused to film a single scene together this season,” an insider told the site. “For 14 weeks we will watch the show play out where its two breakout stars refuse to talk to each other.”

Producers for the show attempted to reunite the former friends on screen, but apparently Leakes refused to budge, not wanting to entertain any potential ratings scheme or make herself look like a villain.

“Producers begged the two ladies to film a scene together. They wanted them to sit down on camera and talk about what went wrong like they did on the New York version of the show with Bethenny and Jill,” a friend of Leakes told the site. “But unlike Jill, NeNe wouldn’t fall for it. She knew she was being set up. NeNe knows that Bravo is developing a spin-off show for Kim and would edit Kim to be more sympathetic to set up her new show. So she refused to be part of any of it.”

Well, it looks like there won’t be a round 5,687 of Kim vs. NeNe, but considering what happened on the season premiere, you can bet there will still be enough drama to go around. –nicholas robinson
