Drake's 'Take Care' on Track to Dominate Billboard Charts: 5 Other Big Hip-Hop Debuts

Drake said he wanted this “Moment 4 Life,” and though the fame never lasts, his 15 minutes are far from over. In fact, it looks like he’s about to reach his zenith. Music industry experts claim that Drake’s critically acclaimed sophomore album, Take Care, is predicted to debut atop the Billboard 200 Albums chart next week, with sales of more than 700,000 units.

According to Billboard, industry sources suggest that Take Care could move as many as 725,000+ units by week’s end on Nov. 20. If the predictions are true, Take Care would earn the third-highest sales week of 2011, bested only by Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (1.1 million sold) and Drake’s Young Money boss, Lil Wayne, who’s Tha Carter IV sold 964,000 in its first week.

Drake isn’t the only hip-hop artist who’s made a big splash on the charts. Here are five other hip-hop artists with big album debuts. –nicholas robinson
