Beyoncé Fires Her Father, Mathew Knowles
Record executive Mathew Knowles led his daughter Beyoncé to superstardom as the leader of the girl group Destiny’s Child. But once Destiny’s Child disbanded and Bey went solo, things began to go down hill for the Knowles’. By the time Bey released her sophomore album, B’Day, rumors began spreading that she was rebelling against her father’s control and after her fellow Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams fired Knowles, Beyoncé decided to follow suit, announcing the split earlier this year. Sadly, the news came amidst accusations that Knowles had stolen money from his own daughter.
