Gucci Mane a Free Man Again? 5 Major Hip-Hop Prison Releases

T.I.

In October 2010, T.I. and his wife were arrested while driving through Los Angeles after police found drugs in their vehicle. Though the L.A. County District Attorney’s office declined to press charges, the arrest violated T.I.’s parole and he was sentenced to 11 months in prison.

After serving 10 months in an Arkansas prison, T.I. was moved to an Atlanta halfway house but quickly removed the next day and returned to federal custody after prison officials objected to the fact that he traveled between the two destinations with two VH1 producers. After his attorneys fought the move, T.I. was finally sent back to the halfway house on Sept. 15, where he served out the remainder of his sentence and was released on Sept. 29.
