Donald Trump Jr. Isn't Convinced by NeNe Leakes' 'Very Rich' Claim: 5 Other Stars With Troubled Bank Accounts

During the premiere episode of the fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” NeNe Leakes proudly declared to her latest enemy, Sheree Whitfield, that she’s “very rich, b—ch!” Though Leakes cited her assumedly large “Trump check” from her time on “Celebrity Apprentice” as the source of her newfound wealth, Donald Trump Jr. is now refuting Leakes’ claims, saying that she wasn’t paid that much at all for her time on the show.

In a recent interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, Trump Jr., who appears alongside his father, Donald Trump, on “Celebrity Apprentice,” said he wasn’t sure what money Leakes was speaking of when she bragged about her “Trump check.”

“Honestly, I have no idea. All the celebrities on the show play for charity. She received a small appearance fee, sure, but that was it,” explained Trump. Jr. “And as far as I know, she’s not involved with any of our other business or corporations. So I’m not sure what she’s talking about.”

According to a report from The New York Post, former “Celebrity Apprentice” champ Piers Morgan claimed that he only received $16,000 for the three weeks it took to film his season of the show. So, we can’t imagine that Leakes would have been paid any differently. However, Wendy Williams reported a few weeks ago that Leakes estiemated net worth is $3 million.

Well, regardless of whether Leakes is “very rich” or just well-paid, her “RHOA” checks still put her in a nice position above the 99%.  But perhaps she hold off on the bold financial statements until some numbers prove she is indeed “very rich, b—ch!” While you ponder that, be sure to check out our list of other stars with troubled bank accounts. – nicholas robinson
