Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and French presidential hopeful, said he was innocent of the sexual assault and attempted rape of Nafissatou Diallo, a black Sofitel hotel worker who entered his hotel room to tidy things up. Those charges were dropped, and he resigned his position at the IMF. However, when Strauss-Kahn returned to France, another woman stepped forward to accuse him of sexual assault.
