KRS-One vs. MC Shan
The first major beef in hip-hop, KRS-One went to battle against MC Shan after he claimed that Queens was the original birthplace of hip-hop instead of the South Bronx. KRS One responded with “The Bridge is Over.” KRS-One went on to have a prominent career in the late ’80s while MC Shan never reached his full potential as a rapper.
