Venture capitalist: Jordan’s talents were otherworldly, but they have not translated into any post-NBA success, save his Nike sneaker line which was established during his playing days. His steakhouse in downtown Chi-town shuttered. He made disastrous moves as a general manager for the Washington Wizards before being unceremoniously ousted by the owner. And he has struggled to keep afloat as owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, which prompted him to take a hard stance against players during the lockout. But one area Jordan can become profitable and successful is helping urban companies get off the ground and/or grow with a team of investors.
