The billionaire media mogul made the statement while addressing a literary festival Jan. 22 in the northwestern Indian town of Jaipur.
Winfrey praised Obama’s performance thus far in his presidency. She said his next four years would be even more successful.
Winfrey, who had never used her high-profile platform to back any politician, officially backed Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Oprah has often been described in the media as “the most influential woman in the world.” Even conservative FOX talking head Bill O’Reilly had to give Oprah her props, saying, “… this is a woman that came from nothing to rise up to be the most powerful woman, I think, in the world. I think Oprah Winfrey is the most powerful woman in the world, not just in America. That’s — anybody who goes on her program immediately benefits through the roof. I mean, she has a loyal following; she has credibility; she has talent; and she’s done it on her own to become fabulously wealthy and fabulously powerful.”
