When Arthur Wylie scraped together $500 to start his investment firm, he “did the unexpected.” The UNC Charlotte graduate watched his company quickly grow to oversee hundreds of millions in assets and paticpate in more than $750 million worth of business deals.
Known as a celebrity entrepreneur in most circles, Wylie started his company in his dorm room and by the time he reached age 26, he earned the highly sought after wealth designation, millionaire.
A co-CEO of Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. Film Fund, Wylie is also the CEO of Arthur Wylie Enterprises which has subsidiaries in film development, consulting, project financing, speaking engagements, celebrity events, book publishing and real estate ventures – globally.
“I acquired the film rights of all 16 books by New York Times best-selling author Omar Tyree s [and] am executive producer over those projects. I brought Kim Harding on board who is one of the top-casting directors in the industry as one of my producers. She s been instrumental in discovering many rising stars, including Halle Berry. However, all our producers are top notch and have been on projects that have grossed over $500,000,000 in box office sales. Now that s just on the film side and only one portion of my catalog. We re also going into television as well,” reveals the Charlotte, NC native.
Wiley, who s Twitter handle is I mCrazyandFearless, recently released a book titled, Only the Crazy and Fearless Win BIG!. In it, he shares a little secret that few books dare to discuss – to win big you have to be fearless and, sometimes, even a little crazy.
“My father once told me Art if you can find something to do for a living that you can enjoy, then you never have to work another day in your life. I m really doing exactly what I want to do with my life. I love it because everyday is a brand new adventure,” he closes.
