Travyon Martin's Family Files for Trademark; Plies Brands Zimmerman T-Shirt

According to applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the phrases “I am Trayvon” and “Justice for Trayvon” were submitted for trademark rightss by Trayvon Martin’s family’s attorney.

Sybrina Fulton plans on using the slogans for DVDs and CDs, memorializing her murdered teenaged son.


Many critics believe it’s an attempt to capitalize on her son’s death, this writer sees it as an attempt to protect his name and image that have been appearing on t-shirts and hoodies across America, at the will of activists and supporters.

George Zimmerman’s face has also appeared on shirts.


Florida-based rapper, Plies, posted a picture on Twitter of him wearing a T-shirt that reads “P***y A** Cracker.” (Click continue to see.)
