Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim
Nicki Minaj burst onto the mixtape seen in 2007, spitting rhymes and posing for album covers that were similar to rap icon Lil’ Kim. By the time Minaj hit it big in 2009, the comparisons to Kim had grown larger than life and apparently larger than Kim could handle. And by 2010 Kim launched an all-out war against Minaj, calling her a fake and copycat. Though Minaj admitted that Kim was one of her childhood idols and had an influence on her flow, her words fell on deaf ears and the two have been beefing ever since.
