Music’s princess of Crunk&B defined her career with jaw-dropping dance skills and airy vocal acrobatics that could only draw comparisons to R&B’s beloved late princess, Aaliyah. Though Ciara acknowledged Aaliyah as an inspiration and claimed that she was flattered by the comparisons, they only seemed to grow more prominent as the “Promise” singer’s fame rose and, like any artist would, we’re sure she wanted to distance herself from the late singer.
