Jaden Smith is said to be starring in another one of his father’s films.
The senior Smith’s company, Overbrook Entertainment, is reportedly working with Sony to acquire rights to a book detailing the life of a teen assassin. Variety reports that the two companies want to make Allen Zadoff’s novel, Boy Nobody, into a film that will feature a starring role for Jaden. “Boy Nobody” is the first book in a planned trilogy that details the life of the brainwashed teen who’s hired to kill. If finalized, Jaden, 13, will play a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”
Overbrook and Sony previously worked together on The Karate Kid, which Jaden had a lead role in. Overbrook Entertaiment also produced Wild, Wild West, Ali, I, Robot and Hitch.
Jaden Smith made his film debut in The Pursuit of Happyness.
