Kid Cudi
When ‘Mr. Solo Dolo’ made his 2010 debut, he fell into the cluster of weed smoking emcees with tracks like “Higher” and “Maui Wowie” (a type of weed) to boot.
In 2011 he famously swore off smoking, citing the birth of his daughter as one of the reasons.
“I was the mother—— who was doing that sh– all the time, recreationally, every day, wake up, needed it, all those things. While I was in that state of mind I just was missing a lot of sh– that was going on in my circle. I just felt like I needed to just take a step back, clear my dome and focus on some real important sh–. Like my daughter for one.
Cudi has yet to backtrack — at least not to the public’s knowledge.
