N.W.A. initiated the beef against their former group member by releasing “Message To B.A.” Ice Cube responded with “No Vaseline.” In the song, Ice Cube exposed each member as wannabe gangsters who were being pimped by Jerry Heller. The song proved that Ice Cube could make it as a solo artist.
