LL Cool J and Canibus
In the 90s, hip-hop king LL Cool J and rap newcomer Canibus were embroiled in a beef after LL took offense to a line Canibus wrote for LL’s “4,3,2,1.” LL rewrote his verse to include a diss toward Canibus and left him out of the video. Canibus fired back with the scathing “2nd Round K.O.” and LL returned with “The Ripper Is Back.” In the end, LL stood as the victor thanks to his loyal fan base and platinum-selling raps.
