Tonya Lewis Lee practiced corporate law. Then one day, the wife of filmmaker Spike Lee decided to follow her passion and pursue writing and television producing, both of which she’s found success. Tonya’s written bestselling children’s books and co-authored a novel, The Gotham Diaires, which focuses on the educated, intelligent African-American elite of New York City; and she’s produced a documentary, Crisis in the Crib. Not to mention, she became the national spokesperson for “A Healthy Baby Begins With You,” a national infant mortality campaign sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
