The Black Mafia Family was a notorious drug gang that operated out of Detroit, Atlanta and L.A., beginning in the early 1990s. The group had close ties to rap, starting a record label, BMF Entertainment, and their affiliation with Def Jam artist Young Jeezy. At their height, BMF reportedly made close to $1 billion. However, brothers Demetrius and Terry Flenory plead guilty to running a criminal enterprise and will likely be in prison until they’re 60 years-old.
