Daniels of ‘The Hughleys’ Fame Accused of Murder 

A child star on a popular black sitcom has abandoned his wholesome TV image and turned to a life of gangbanging. According to California authorities, Dorjan “Deejay” Daniels, of the ’90s television show, “The Hughleys,” is facing charges of premeditated murder and gang activity.

Daniels, 23, who played Michael on the program, has been incarcerated since August 2011. Police report that he and two accomplices; Djuane Nunly and Marcus Daniel McCliman, stabbed a man to death outside a California nightclub. Police believe the feud stemmed from rival gang activity. Daniels is believed to be a part of the Bloods gang, his victim was said to be a Crip. If convicted, Daniels faces a life sentence.

Daniels has altered his appearance so much that he’s virtually unrecognizable from the child star who once graced TV screens. Besides the “Hughleys,” Daniels’ acting credits include “Grace Under Fire,” “In the House” and “Family Matters.”
