What is the mission of your company?
Our mission is to encourage, educate, and elevate the self-worth of women seeking a new direction in life. Men are welcome, too. We use a faith-based approach to working with our clients.
Why is it so important to receive counseling when going through a divorce?
We all face crossroads at critical points in life and find ourselves with incredibly important decisions to make in situations that were not previously foreseen or that we thought we could avoid dealing with indefinitely. Counseling and assistance becomes the objective third party or place where we can go “anonymously” to work through these challenges. What we offer is the additional comfort in that we want to help you work through your issues involving your spiritual values and beliefs, along with the situation you’re in so that you can really get to a place of total peace about your decisions. When you work through divorce issues, you discover truths that are at the root of many life issues we face.
What are the top five reasons that people get divorced?
1. Unrealistic expectations of what marriage is or will do for your life
2. Misunderstanding the purpose of marriage within God’s intention for it
3. Unforgiveness for intentional or unintentional rifts between spouses
4. An inability to deal with unresolved sorrow or anger
5. God or your belief system is not central in the relationship meaning that God/church is what you do for superficial purposes rather than how you live your life.
What other projects are you working on that our readers should know about?
My personal passion is volunteerism and I’m currently deeply involved in the work of the Metamorphosis Women’s Empowerment Conference as a board member, empowerment team member and Brazil foreign missions coordinator. And obviously, my spiritual faith is sustained through active membership at the Fountain of Praise church in the women’s ministry and work with the development of the FountainLife Center, our new campus facility that houses the ministries of the church and several new community partnerships.
