Top Black Female Executives Share Best Career Advice

This year’s 2012 Essence Music Festival did more than just provide a world of fun and entertainment; it provided a platform for black women to connect with their inner and outer beauty.

“Our support of the Essence Music Festival is so important to our ongoing efforts around supporting the African American community and in particular African American women,” Linda Clement-Holmes, chief diversity officer and senior vice president of global business services at Procter & Gamble Co., tells rolling out. “The My Black Is Beautiful [campaign] in particular, was started by African American women, for African American women, around this dialogue, and around helping African American women celebrate their beauty no matter what definition it is that they give.”


In addition to beauty and self-esteem initiatives, several powerful African American female executives shared their best career advice with rolling out.
