When you think of “Chicago-style” the first thing that comes to mind is usually pizza. But the Windy City offers a wide variety of signature cuisine, not just pizza, but also popcorn and, of course, world famous hot dogs.
Typical hot dog toppings usually include chili, mustard and ketchup, a Chicago-style hot dog steps it up a notch. Served on a poppy-seed bun, a Chicago dog includes yellow mustard, chopped white onions, sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices (or wedges), pickled peppers and a little celery salt.
So the big question is, who has the best hot dogs in the city of Chicago? With so many hot dog stands and restaurants in the city, it wasn’t easy to decide, but we managed to narrow our list down to 10.
